Nanjing Subway Line 1 runs through the main city of Nanjing, the most important north-south axis of the traffic corridor. Nanjing Lopu Company contracted the Subway Line one’s PIS system which is relying on the multi-media network technology and the core of international computer system to use the station and car display as a media for providing the customers with service information. In normal circumstances, the system will provide tips for taking the subway, service period, subway’s arrival-departure time, train schedules, administration announcement, government bulletin, travel reference, stock information, media, news, live events, advertising and other real-time dynamic multi-media information; in the abnormal circumstances such as fires and terrorist attacks, it will provide prompt dynamic emergency evaluation tips. The train-carrying equipment plays the information by video and audio real-timely after receiving and processing them via wireless transmission. With the guiding of the correct information service, passengers can take the subway safely and conveniently.

 According to the structure, PIS system is divided into six subsystems:

  3. Vehicle Subsystem
  4. Network Subsystem
  5. Advertising production subsystem
  6. Backup center subsystem
